The mystery is transported by the endearing relationships of artists, friends, and witty yet pragmatic investigators, who lead us to a psychologically twisted but meaningful end.

    Love of Art & Murder takes us on a journey behind the scenes of the art world and into glorious museums, galleries, and performance halls. The villains who manipulate this intriguing world are explored, and clues to an art heist are recounted in this creative interpretation of a world-renown true art crime.

    The summer morning breeze off the river caught a blonde wisp of Marilyn's hair, touched her cheek, and kissed her hot-pink lips. Yet, her lovely green eyes were frozen by her partner in death, Athena's spear.

     The flamboyant wine sommelier Georgi Algarve sweeps the front sidewalk of his Vinho Verde Wine Bar, yet when he looks up, he lets out a blood-curdling scream. On the balcony is his friend Marilyn Maroney who is speared by her art sculpture, Athena, the warrior goddess.

     Within days another artist is abducted, and the investigators uncover a world of deception, theft, and greed. In shock, the art community wonders - are any artists, galleries, or museums safe? Can the detective and the sleuths catch the killer before another artist is tricked or murdered?

     Detective Morrison and the enigmatic medical examiner Dr. Angela Storm determine if Marilyn's death is an accident or a homicide. Then you have Georgi, and his clue-hunting friend Roxanne Samson, who are convinced they can find the culprit but proceed to sleuth their way into the detective's heart - via heartburn.

     Rose Young is a former landscape/garden designer who loves reading non-fiction and the on-site research of walking in the character's shoes to craft an engaging mystery.
